Bromley Borough Street Pastors

Bromley Borough has a team of Street Pastors made up of over forty people drawn from more than twenty different Bromley churches. They are part of the national Street Pastor network organised by the Ascension Trust

The Bromley Borough team operates within three busy night time areas, regularly patrolling the High Streets in Beckenham, Bromley, and Orpington. A team of between three and five Street Pastors will patrol on a once-a-month rota, typically commencing at 9pm or 10pm and will go through till midnight or 3am depending on the area being patrolled. The Orpington team also patrols once a month on a Saturday morning between 10am and noon.

Bromley Borough Street Pastors aim to come alongside people who are lonely and vulnerable, or who just want a friendly chat. They are specifically seeking to practically demonstrate the love of Jesus Christ and to build relationships with people by caring, listening and helping.  Patrolling the town centre, visiting the pubs and clubs the Christian gospel is at the heart of what they do, but not at the forefront of what they say.
